This 18 Hole Championship Parkland Course is playable all year round due to sand based greens. Less than 5 minutes drive from Kilkenny Inn. The course, which is of championship standard, is set on 120 acres of parkland and measures 5,933 metres with a par of 71.
A wonderful and challenging course in a beautiful scenic setting, Castlecomer Golf Club is less than 20 minutes drive from Kilkenny Inn. The course is set in a 200 year old forest of elevated beauty, with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside, framed by the canopy of the woodland. Castlecomer’s course provides a great test of golf combined with breath taking views of the local terrain in this Pat Ruddy designed course.
Established in 1929, Callan Golf Club is located 1 mile from Callan on the Knocktopher Road and just over 20 minutes from Kilkenny Inn. This mature 18 hole parkland course features well placed spinneys, bunkers and hazards,with water featuring on eight of the holes & has a justifiable & well earned reputation for the high standard of presentation & upkeep of both fairways and greens.
Live like a Lord with a round of golf on the Jack Nicklaus Golf Course at the prestigious Mount Juliet Estate, just over 20 minutes from Kilkenny Inn. Home to the World Golf Championship and a number of Irish Opens, the course is one of the longest in the country and features perfect fairways and immaculate greens that attract top professional golfers from all around the world.
Mountain View opened its gates in 1996 and boasts a challenging 18 holes of breathtaking golf over 120 acres of rolling countryside in Ballyhale, just over half an hour from Kilkenny Inn. The course consists of sweeping fairways, imaginative bunkers, elegant water features, sensational views and superbly manicured sand-based Tee’s & Greens ensuring year round play. With a fantastic clubhouse restaurant this is worthwhile for the panoramic scenery.
Gowran Park, in County Kilkenny developed this unique 18 hole golf course to complement its renowned race meetings and is just over 20 minutes from Kilkenny Inn. The course meanders in and around 130 acres with 5 holes within the racecourse boundary and the remainder in the mature woodland and lake settings of the Annaly Estate. With the magnificent backdrop of the Blackstairs Mountains this par 71, 18 hole golf course provides an excellent test for the low handicap golfer whilst also being very enjoyable for the middle to high handicappers.
